The State Fair’s agriculture education programs afford numerous opportunities for visitors of all ages to learn more about the importance of farming and ranching. Enjoy hands-on exhibits, cow milking and other demonstrations, or any of the other educational events the State Fair offers. The State Fair of Texas offers a TEKS-based program intended to raise awareness and importance of agriculture. Farm Day at the Fair is a free day of learning specifically developed for 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders. For more information and to register your class, visit the Farm Day at the Fair page. Little Hands on the Farm

Kids love this miniature farm where they can plant seeds, gather eggs and drive a tiny tractor before harvesting crops and taking them to market. With the earnings from the crops they sell, kiddos can purchase a snack in the General Store. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
